About Michael
For more than twenty-five years, I’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of people discover the joy of playing the violin. Today, my passion is helping adults realize that it is never too late to become the musician they’ve always wanted to be.
My Story
I’ve been teaching violin for more than twenty-five years.
During that time I’ve had the privilege of teaching thousands of students, writing Fiddle For Dummies, creating educational videos, and building violin education businesses.
But my journey hasn’t been a straight line.
Several years ago, I walked through one of the most difficult seasons of my life. I experienced personal loss, watched a business I had spent years building come to an end, and found myself starting over.
During that season, my relationship with Jesus transformed my perspective.
I discovered that my identity wasn’t found in success or failure, but in God’s grace. That transformation changed the way I approach my work, my family, and the people I have the privilege of teaching.
Today, I’m grateful to be married to an incredible wife, raising our daughter Lydia (and one on the way), and building a life centered on faith, family, and serving others.
LumenCorda represents a new chapter.
My goal isn’t simply to teach people how to play the violin.
It’s to encourage adults who still have dreams they haven’t given up on—and remind them that it’s never too late to begin again.
